Summary of 'Dreams' by Langston Hughes

The main message of the poem is 'dreams' and here dreams indicate bigger goals of life. The poet twice says to have dreams in life. Because a life without goals is like a bird without wings who cannot fly. In fact, he also says that if one does not have dreams, one's life becomes like a barren field that is always kept drowned under snow and cannot produce crops.
